Before the concert hall, there was the salon. Before the grand piano, the fortepiano. This program invites you into the sound world of Beethoven and Schubert as they themselves might have heard it: with warm gut strings, responsive transitional bows, and a fortepiano’s round touch. On the program: Beethoven’s Sonata for Cello and Piano in A Major and Sonata for Violin and Piano in F Major, “Spring” as well as Schubert’s Piano Trio in B Flat Major.

Classical, Contemporary, Baroque… if John Cage's infamous 4'33" counts as "Classical Music™," then what doesn't?! When it comes to programming, our guiding principle is simple: we gotta love it, and we gotta wanna share it.

Vital Sounds

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the past three years, Salastina musicians and guest artists have provided private, virtual bedside concerts for patients in UCLA's ICU.

Salastina Composer Collective is a tuition-free professional development program for composers between the ages of 18 and 30. We invite composers living anywhere to apply.
