"Sounds Genius" (formerly Masterpiece Discovery) is perfectly summed up by Salastina's motto "To know great music is to love great music." Our trademark concert format is not a lecture. It's no dry analysis. We share how musical works of human genius throw open the doors of our hearts, connecting us to the beauty of life and human potential.

What makes a particular piece of music so special?  What was happening in the composer's life?  How does the work fit into world events?  What do the musicians think of or feel while playing this music?  How do they make that interesting sound effect?  These are just some of the questions that we answer, with sincerity and humor, in a "Sounds Genius" concert.  It doesn't matter if you're a seasoned concertgoer or if it's your first time - there's something for everyone in this format.  During the second part of the concert, you'll get to hear an interrupted performance of the work.

If you feel like dressing to the nines, you won't be out of place.  We suggest business casual at the least.  One of our favorite parts of the concert is the reception, when we have a chance to talk to you.  This time, we'll have a food truck waiting for you!
