Volunteer or Internship for Course Credit

Salastina seeks a part-time volunteer — and/or course-credit intern — to assist with:

• identifying donor prospects

• reaching out to university and conservatory music departments to advertise Salastina concerts

• submitting Salastina recordings to streaming service playlists

• assisting with front-of-house operations at Salastina performances

Front of House/Back of House

Salastina seeks help with front- and back-of-house operations at performances. Rate of pay is $20/hour. Front-of-house and back-of-house duties will not ever be performed by the same person on the same day.

Front-of-house duties include:

• greeting patrons in a courteous manner

• online patron check-in

• helping patrons find their seats

• encouraging new audience members to sign up for our e-newsletter

• instructing patrons on how to make a donation to Salastina if asked

• handing out program books

• setting up refreshment tables

• serving refreshments before and after the performance

Back-of-house duties include:

• ensuring concerts begin on time

• ensuring lighting and air conditioning are suitable for performance

• ensuring musicians are in their places when neede

• communicating between the musicians backstage and front-of-house crew
