Described as “a violinist of heart-melting talent” by the Wall Street Journal, Lucia is a one-of-a-kind musician and entertainer. A child prodigy, her musical pedigree consists of the most renowned pedagogues, prestigious institutions, and solo performance opportunities: Dorothy DeLay, Itzhak Perlman, Juilliard, Aspen, the Hollywood Bowl… you get it.
While studying with Pinchas Zukerman, she began to develop a growing interest in non-classical music. She started moonlighting with local jazz and rock bands in New York clubs. Since then, she’s been a featured soloist in the world tours of Josh Groban, Chris Botti, and Barbra Streisand.
2009 saw Lucia broadening her career even further when she was cast in the starring role of “Annie” in HBO’s critically acclaimed series, “Treme”, which won a Peabody Award and a Primetime Emmy.
Currently, Lucia’s first PBS concert special is airing throughout the US. This PBS event is an eclectic journey through her many musical influences - from classical to jazz to traditional fiddle music and Americana - all bound together by her trademark emotional vulnerability and technical wizardry.
