Happy Hour No. 23: Arturo Cardelús, Composer

Arturo Cardelús is a Spanish composer of film and concert music. His most recent score, Buñuel in the Labyrinth of the Turtles, has been nominated for the Goya Award for Best Original Music and previously won the Best Original Music awards at the Málaga Film Festival and Annecy Film Festival.

His contributions to the world of concert music were recognized when he was elected an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in 2016.  His works have been performed across Europe, Asia, and the United States. Naxos, a leading classical music label, released an album of his chamber music in 2015, recorded by the Berlin Philharmonic soloists at Berlin's Philharmonie.
