Happy Hour No. 44: Augustin Hadelich and Orion Weiss

Augustin Hadelich is a Grammy-winning Italian-German-American violinist. After being burned in a fire on his family’s Tuscan farm, he was unable to play violin for over a year. "It is perhaps because of this experience—because I had this moment where I wasn't sure if I would ever play the violin again—that I appreciate what is happening in my life more,” he has said. “I really try to enjoy every moment. It made me realize how important music was to me.” Augustin went on to become one of today’s most celebrated classical artists.

Joining Augustin in recital is his frequent recital partner, acclaimed pianist Orion Weiss. On the program: Ludwig van Beethoven’s Kreutzer Sonata and Eddie South’s Black Gypsy.

Don’t miss this free opportunity to hear the music and minds of two of today’s most inspiring musicians.
