Violins of Hope is a project of concerts based on a private collection of violins, violas, and cellos collected since the end of World War II. All the instruments belonged to Jews before and during the war. And they all share a common denominator: they had to do with the holocaust -- specifically, with death, survival, and hope.
Violin-makers Amnon Weinstein and his son Avshalom Weinstein own and care for this collection, sharing its story around the world. The project's LA-based ambassador: violinist Niv Ashkenazi, who plays on one of the instruments thanks to a permanent loan.
Join us for live performance by and conversation with Niv, both centered around this moving project.
