Mixtape consists of violinists Michael Siess and Misha Vaiman, cellist Juan-Salvador Carrasco, and pianist Nathan Ben-Yehuda.

The ensemble describes itself as “genre-fluid,” finding similarities in rhythm, harmony, and mood in otherwise disparate musical selections, and weaving them together into a complete cohesive work. This process includes original compositions as well.
