Sophie Kuba was born in Guatemala in 1991. Growing up she became interested in the guitar, the piano, and the drumset, which became her main instrument due to its role in jazz music.

She then moved to Barcelona to study a career in jazz and modern music at the Liceu Conservatory, and later on, a master in composition for cinema and media. At present she’s based in Barcelona, taking on projects for film, videogames, and media as a freelance composer.

She’s mostly inspired by the art of telling stories through images and sound, the power to show cinematic beauty or transform an experience with music.
