Salastina is coming to Orange County!

In the intimate setting of a private home, a Salastina event becomes an entirely new type of engaging concert experience.  On this occasion, the program will begin with unaccompanied works for the individual instruments and conversation about the history and mechanics of the harp and violin.  Salastina's trademark format, Sounds Genius will take place after intermission.  Co-director Kevin Kumar will lead an in-depth exploration, complete with musical examples, of Camille Saint-Saëns' lovely French Romantic work, Fantasy for harp and violin.

Kevin is joined by harpist Catherine Yom Litaker.  Catherine has performed with the Chicago Symphony, Lyric Opera of Chicago, San Diego Symphony, and was principal of the Civic Orchestra.  You can read more about the Los Angeles based harpist here.
